Main House:
There are two downstairs bedrooms, both sleep 2, and have a shared tub bathroom. .Upstairs is another bedroom with a terrace that overlooks the fountain pond & property, also a sitting room & private bath with a full bed. Have morning coffee looking at the mist over the mountains and watch the hummingbirds flit through the trees. The Nite time lighting is Magical on the Property& there is a small fire pit to hang out & sing, Talk & make memories.
Peruse the grounds and see many tortoises quietly munching grass and turtles in the front fountain pond. It is really a lovely setting, and we are fully gated for security.
Your rental fees go 100% towards endangered animal conservation and is also 100% TAX deductible. This is a great way to enjoy some time away as well as get a tax write-off.
Ojai is a beautiful town and it's located in a gorgeous setting - a place to enjoy solitude and beauty and the comforts of nature.
There are hidden treasures all over Ojai - soak in the hot springs, take a hike, golf, mountain bike, make a spa visit, play some ping-pong, take a pottery class, go horseback riding, visit the farmers market, float in the heated pool at night while looking at the stars and listening to the sounds of night and nature. We are minutes away from tennis courts, hiking trails, bike trails, the beach & shopping. We are literally just a walk away from Thatcher School.
The neighborhood is quiet and reserved, so it is best suited for a quiet time away for guests who are looking for a peaceful retreat. Our property is completely enclosed & walled, however we are close to neighbors and must be respectful of the noise level. For this reason, we cannot host any guests who are interested in having an event. No more than 6 adults at a time, as we do run a conservation non-profit, and need the least amount of impact on the property as possible. Thanks for understanding, but this is not-negotiable because of insurance purposes.
We run a non-profit organization on the property, maintaining houses & greenhouses, which have a breeding and husbandry facility for turtles.
Because of this, we have a tiny staff of 3 people on the property Mon - Fri, 8am-4pm. Weekends, there are 2 staff members. They are quiet, respectful, and nice. You would have full usage of the main house, the pool, and the property is large enough that you would certainly have your privacy.
